Day 3 - Gerro to Perth - via Jurien Bay

We really do have the life at the moment!

Last night after Ceej's post we took our beers down to the beach to watch the amazing sunset, Cj made friends with a mudlark who (as you can see) was the perfect model for him, then back to our little "humble abode" where it was beef stroganoff for dinner and then off to bed.

Another easy start where we got up at our leisure - bacon and eggs, tea and triple J to start the day -  then it was yet again an easy pack up thanks to some fine packing skills and good team work; we are slowly getting it down pat! Soon we won't be able to start and finish our days without our little rituals! I don't know what we're going to be like when we eventually go back to "normal" living!!!

Cj in the drivers seat down to Jurien Bay - easy drive with more of the same in the scenery department - mind you we are slowly getting away from "rock" country - however straight roads are definitely still on the menu! Cj has renamed WA the "land of the long straight roads"!

We arrived in Jurien Bay after several "damn it! That would have been an awesome photo!", one water choking fit, and a few more thousand dead insects, at around 1230 then spent a lazy few hours by the water and having lunch. Did I mention it's going to be REALLY hard to go back to reality?!?!

However, amazingly we actually had somewhere to be! So it was back in the car and Perth-ward bound, where we met up with some friends from Canada. So tonight as a special treat there was no chores, or tent erecting, or hanging with the grey nomads....no instead we got long lost friends, an AMAZING meal (thank you Hippo Creek!) and a nice, COMFY bed and pillows!!

In saying that however, I can't wait til Sunday when we are on the road "proper" where there is no where to "be" until we are back at home, and it is just us, and all that our trusty Nav can cary and the open road.

Tomorrow night we are in for a treat when N & D show us "footy" WA style...(yes Dad's, we mean "football" not rugby...don't worry we will be sure to attempt to move them over to the good side!)...

So from our nice sand free, bug free bed - goodnight!

H & Cj xx

Just a couple of extra shots for you to see what life on the road is like....

These are EXTREMELY hard to take photo's of when you are in a moving vehicle!! (However Cj would assure you he could do a better job of take photo's of them whilst driving!)

Small things amuse small minds - I know - but seriously...this tuff old bikie dude on basically a trike! You have to laugh!!! Well - I did - and it kept me entertained for quite sometime! Now I give it to you for your enjoyment!!
